A Workforce Development, Labor Market, and Economic Inclusion Specialist based in Amman, Esraa has built her reputation at the intersection of education, employment, and economic empowerment across Jordan. Her work has consistently centered on the people most often left behind by labor markets , youth entering the workforce for the first time, women navigating barriers to participation, and underserved communities seeking a real foothold.
A Career Built on Connection
Esraa currently serves as a Higher Education Institution Relationship Officer with IREX on the USAID-funded Higher Education for Innovation and Growth (HEIG) Activity, where she leads institutional development initiatives for Jordanian universities. The role is a study in complexity: she manages relationships with university presidents, deans, government bodies, development partners, and private sector leaders, all while coordinating multi-stakeholder programs aimed at strengthening governance, research management, innovation, and graduate employability.
What stands out across her trajectory is consistency of purpose. Whether designing employer engagement frameworks, building job-matching strategies, or running mentorship and career development programs, the underlying goal never shifts: closing the gap between what the labor market needs and what people are equipped to offer.
A Foundation Across Sectors
Esraa’s expertise didn’t appear overnight. It was assembled across roles that gave her a rare 360-degree view of the employment ecosystem.
At Al Hussein Technical University, she managed educational and workforce programs that strengthened industry-academia collaboration. At the USAID YouthPower Program, she led youth empowerment initiatives connecting educational institutions with labor market stakeholders. Earlier roles at the Princess Alia Foundation’s Horizons for Green Development, the International Rescue Committee, and other humanitarian and development organizations grounded her in project management, protection work, and community mobilization.
Notably, her career also includes time as an HR Officer at IREX, meaning she understands hiring not just from the program-design side, but from inside the recruitment process itself. That dual perspective is rare, and it shows in how practically she approaches employability.
Always Learning
Esraa pairs her experience with a striking commitment to continued growth. She holds a Global MBA in Global Business Management from the University of Bedfordshire and a Bachelor’s degree in English Translation. Recently, she has added a wave of new credentials — Certified Data Analytics Professional, KPI development in Power BI, Instructional Design for Vocational and Technical Education, and a Sworn Translator Certification, alongside earlier qualifications including PMP certification and a Professional Diploma in NGO and Volunteer Work Management.
Her consultancy work reflects the same range. In 2025, she designed and delivered an advanced report writing program for the Royal Commission for AlUla in Saudi Arabia, helping participants sharpen their analytical and evidence-based communication.
